IT’S YOUR WEDDING DAY – YOU CAN DO WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT!

If you are wanting friends and family to join you on your big day I highly recommend no more than 20 guests to celebrate your wedding day. Any more than that I believe it will take away the intimacy you are wanting on your wedding day. Also, some permits at elopement locations (like national parks for example) only allow a small amount of guests to attend your ceremony.

If you want to invite more than 20 people to your wedding I highly recommend looking in my wedding packages where you can have as many guests as you want to celebrate your wedding day with you. It is a different experience than an adventure elopement but we can still make your dream wedding happen!

HECK NO! YOU HAVE THE WHOLE WORLD TO EXPLORE!!

Why do you think my photography business is named “Escape and Adventure”? I implore you to get those curious juices flowing through that head of yours because when you elope you are experiencing the BEST FEELING EVER … The freedom to do whatever the heck you want on your wedding day!

Let me answer that question with one word… ANYTHING! Or, let me draw a picture for you.

– You wake up before the sun rises getting ready behind with only a headlamp as your light source.
– You take a nap on a hammock or tent in the middle of a forest after exchanging vows on the cliffside.
– Go 4×4 racing on the sand dunes.
– Watch the sun set in a hot air balloon.
– Have a dinner cooked by a private chef in your airBnB..

Those are just a few of hundred different options on the top of my head. Which on speaks out to you?

IF YOU WANT YOUR MARRIAGE TO BE LEGAL, YES!
You do need a wedding officiant (in most states of the U.S) and two witnesses to legally marry you and sign that marriage license. Side Note: I am an ordained officiant so I can perform your ceremony and sign your marriage license if you are wanting a “just us” wedding experience.

In the states of Colorado, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C, they all allow what is called “self-solemnizing” but have different requirements.

YES YES YES!!!

You for sure CAN elope if you’re already married. Your wedding day is the day you commit your love to each other forever. Just because you signed your marriage license already doesn’t mean you can’t get married the way you want! You already got the legal paperwork out of the way, now it’s time to plan your adventure!

Or if you already had a wedding and decide you want to experience an adventurous wedding, get married again! There’s no wrong way to commit your love to your significant partner. That’s what I like to call a “we still do” adventure.
