How to choose where to elope in Sedona

Pick a location together

Choose a location that both you and your partner love.

Start with places that excite you, whether it’s a forest, mountains, or near Oak Creek. Imagine exchanging vows in that setting—consider how it looks, feels, and smells. Exploring what your heart desires will help you find the perfect spot for your Sedona elopement or wedding.

Envision your day

Having scenery in mind, even if you don’t have an exact location picked out yet, can help with choosing the best place to get married in Sedona. Consider what activities you’d like to do to celebrate. Imagine your day looking like:

– Off-roading to a private location

– Rock climbing as the sun sets

– Having a picnic on top of a mountain

Have an open mind

Choosing a Sedona elopement location can be overwhelming, with endless options to choose from. If you’re unsure of what you want, remember that what matters most is your marriage. Focus on creating a day that day is centered around your love and the start of your adventure together, showcasing your unique connection as a couple.

With panoramic views of the Red Rocks, Bell Rock is an easy access ceremony and portrait location without a long hike. It’s also a great family friendly option if you’re inviting guests!

Merry Go Round Rock

This once secretive location is one of my personal favorite places to get married in Sedona. It has one of the most beautiful views of the Sedona scenery and an epic 1 hour off-roading adventure along the way.

Private Sedona Local Locations

If you’re wanting a more private location away from tourists, as a Sedona expert I can recommend some ‘off the beaten path’ locations no one else knows about.

An Intimate airbnb

If you’d prefer a smaller wedding celebration with your close friends and family, consider booking an AirBnB that allows large groups. There are many private homes that offer the option to host your wedding or reception on their property.

One of Sedona’s beautiful Venues

From a small venue for less than 50 guests to a venue sitting on top of a mountain, each wedding venue in Sedona offers a unique view of the red rocks.

frequently asked questions about eloping in Sedona

I book elopements up to 16 months in advance. It is always best to book your Sedona elopement photographer, videographer, and other vendors as soon as possible! Contact me here to save your date on my calendar.

Eloping in Sedona can cost as low as $83 for just a marriage license or up to $10,000 if you’re wanting a bigger / traditional wedding experience. Here’s a blog with an elopement calculator to see how much your dream wedding will cost.

That depends on a few factors; what you want to do and during your elopement, how many guests you want to invite, and where you want to get married.

During our consult call we’ll go over your elopement vision and help decide how much coverage your day will need.

Here’s a link to my elopement packages and pricing to learn more.

The best time to elope in Sedona is typically January – March or October – November. You can get married at any time of the year in Sedona but weather can be unpredictable depending on the season.

Here’s a link to my Sedona Elopement Planning Guide with all the tips on how to get married in Sedona.

Weeks leading up to your wedding date I will be keeping an eye on the weather and road conditions and keep you updated on any changes that may affect your wedding plans.

Unless there is a major weather condition, road closures, or event that would make it unsafe to get married then we would continue with your wedding / elopement pre-planned backup location.

We will change your elopement date or location if the unsafe conditions continue.

If you’re wanting to elope in Sedona I recommend no more than 20 guests. Any more than 20, a private venue or Airbnb is recommended.

Here’s some ideas on how to include your guests in your elopement.
