If youโ€™ve been dreaming about an adventurous yet easygoing wedding day, let me introduce you to one of the most underrated spots in the Southwestโ€”Page, Arizona. Located close to the Utah border and home to some of the most otherworldly landscapes in the state. This spot is perfect for couples who want a chill, totally beautiful and memorable Arizona elopement without the crowds or rush.

Katie and Victorโ€™s wedding day was exactly that. Peaceful, personal, and full of slow, meaningful moments, from a first look near a canyon that gave Horseshoe Bend vibes, to a ceremony beside Lake Powell that felt like being on Mars. Seriously, it was that epic, and that relaxed, just like any dream wedding should be.

Why Page, Arizona, makes for an Incredible Elopement Location

When most people think of an Arizona elopement, their minds go straight to Sedona or Horseshoe Bend, and while those are beautiful, they can get busy. Page is the lesser-known gem with just as much wow factor (and way fewer tourists).

Weโ€™re talking red rock scenery that looks like The Wave, glassy blue water from Lake Powell, and quiet, wide-open spaces where you can actually hear the wind and your partnerโ€™s laugh. Itโ€™s unbelievable, intimate, and the kind of place that makes you want to soak it all in.

A First Look with a View + a Mars-Like Ceremony Spot

Katie and Victorโ€™s day started with a peaceful and private first look in a canyon that showed similar aesthetics to Horseshoe Bend, but without the crowds. Major bonus points. It was quiet, just the two of them (and the killer view), and it set the tone for the rest of their elopement.

Originally, Katie had picked a different location near Lake Powell, but plans shifted when her sister and her adorable baby joined the celebration. The original location required off-roading, which wasnโ€™t ideal with a two-month-old in tow. So we pivoted and found a spot nearby that ended up being perfect, easy to access, but still wildly beautiful.

This wasnโ€™t a day packed with timelines or an endless photo list. Katie and Victor love slow, low-energy moments, so their wedding reflected that. After their ceremony, they set up a picnic, shared snacks, and even swapped paintings every five minutes (yes, actual mini canvases, it was honestly one of my favorite parts).

As the sun set, they blew bubbles during golden hour portraits and ended the night with a first dance under the stars. Simple. Authentic. Unforgettable.

Tips for Planning a Relaxed Arizona Elopement

  • Adventure can be chill – You donโ€™t need to hike 8 miles or off-road through the desert to have an epic elopement. Katie and Victorโ€™s day was proof that simple can still be incredibly personal and meaningful.
  • Be flexible Plans might shiftโ€”and thatโ€™s okay. The perfect spot is where you feel safe, connected, and present. Thereโ€™s no wrong choice.
  • Plan a day authentic to your relationship – Whether itโ€™s a painting swap, a lakeside picnic, or blowing bubbles during sunset photos, create a day that celebrates your unique love.
  • Think beyond the popular locations – Page, Arizona might not be on everyoneโ€™s radar (yet!), but itโ€™s hands-down one of the best places for a quiet, adventurous elopement in Arizona. And makes for epic astrophotography photos because it gets super dark at night!
