Brittney and Matt didn’t let COVID-19 stop their happiness from having their elopement in Lost Dutchman State Park. It all started on Facebook. Brittney was stressed about her wedding day because they didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on their out of state elopement and needed someone last minute to help. I commented on her post in a private Arizona weddings Facebook group and we hit it off right away!

We spend hours messaging each other back and forth on what her dream elopement wanted to look like including where to elope, the time frame she would need, and the spooky ideas we’ve came up with together for her HALLOWEEN elopement!

If you know a little about me you’d know I LOVE Halloween, my favorite holiday. Being able to take elopement photos on my favorite holiday with this amazing couple was absolutely a dream come true and a cross off my bucket list!

Brittney and her fiancé (at the time) Matt were flying into Arizona a few days before their wedding date so I scheduled a time to meet them, get to know each other, plan out a timeline together, and explore their elopement locations in person.

We first visited the Elvis Chapel located right outside of the Lost Dutchman State Park, where Brittney and Matt would have their first look and take some SUPER cute photos in front of the chapel before their ceremony.

We spent probably an hour and a half looking around this museum planning their timeline and meeting with an employee who gave us permission to photograph at the location and told us spooky ghost stories about the Superstition Mountain! It was such a fun and unique experience for all of us, definitely added value to their first look location.

We then adventured to the Superstition Mountains in Lost Dutchman State Park! It look us only 10 minutes to find their ceremony location they dreamed of. We took photos, planned out where everything would go, then ended our day with an excited goodbye hesitating for Halloween night to come sooner.

Halloween night arrived rapidly and everything happened SO fast! One thing I did guarantee for this beautiful couple was to absorb all the emotions they were feeling without being rushed, a perfect time for candid photos.

2 and a half hours later Brittney and Matt were married! Halloween being my favorite holiday has more meaning to me than just dressing up spooky and collecting candy. It also is the holiday I was able to meet new lovely friends and a forever favorite memory.

Oh! Did I mention they let me dress up for their elopement?! How cool is that?!?!

“My husband and I were excited to plan our dream wedding and instead were met with COVID-19 restrictions. Last minute we decided to elope to Arizona, all the way from Saint Louis, Missouri. We planned this excursion in two weeks! I immediately joined a local Arizona wedding group and began my quest to find our photographer and location.

Now, albeit short-noticed, I was welcomed by many vendors for all the things I needed, the best surprise being Kelcee! She immediately made me feel comfortable, and calmed all panicked notions I had. We got married on Halloween, and Kelcee arrived in full costume and made us laugh and smile the whole time!! She perfectly captured my husband and I’s first look, and matched our raw emotions with tears down her face. Her emotions and ties to her clients are above and beyond what we expected. Our photos were perfect. A wide range of emotions were captured, and her creativity never ceased to amaze us.
